5. Exhibit room – Old wood turning workshop

The heart of the Museum of Art and Wood Turning can be found in the room used as a wood turning workshop; here the gearwheels and the lathes are set up in the same was as they would have been when the Maulini family used them one hundred years ago. They are still in working condition thanks to the large wooden wheel powered by the Roggia Molinara, located just outside the building.

The tools and other work instruments have been preserved intact and can be admired as part of a neatly arranged exhibit on one of the room’s walls.

The room has stone floors and its light shines in through small high windows from which visitors can see the large waterfall outside. Traditional hanging lights are positioned above the lathes.
